about Naamat THE Early Childhood Educational Network
The Early Childhood Educational Network
NA`AMAT – the Movement for the Advancement of the status of Women in Israel 1196850434.jpg) operates a network of 280 Day Care Centers for over 20,000 infants and toddlers from the age of 3 months to 4 years.
The Centers are located in large cities, frontier settlements, development towns, agricultural settlements, and Arab villages.
The NA`AMAT Day Care Centers make it possible for working mothers to remain in their jobs even when their children are very young.
-
The centers enroll children from families in distress, providing financial assistance through a special support fund.
-
Tens of thousands of parents throughout the country are able to go to work worry-free, knowing that their children are in the hands of a loving, caring staff.
-
The educational programs in the Day Care Centers include enrichment activities, special physical development programs, and consciousness – raising in regard to gender equality starting at a very young age.
-
Activity corners in the Centers and the pedagogic equipment enable the child to choose freely an activity in accordance with his or her needs and skills.
-
NA`AMAT nurtures the concept of a warm, homelike environment while focusing on the advancement and development of the child.
-
The Center staff attend comprehensive training courses dealing with a variety of subjects in order to enrich their professional knowledge and skills. Each child receives individual attention, warmth and love from the care-giver (Metapelet) who works with the group regularly.
-
The NA`AMAT Early Childhood Educational Network offers children security, love, and educational enrichment and seeks to insure that each child returns home at the end of the day with a smile on his/her face.
